Woodburn KFC

When the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) was planning to widen Newberg Highway in Woodburn Oregon it was identified that the existing Kentucky Fried Chicken building would be removed to make way for the road.  McKay Consulting was contracted by the owner for assistance in constructing a new building at the sight.  After the ODOT right-of-way acquisition a property line adjustment was needed to make the property large enough to fit the new building and meet KFC corporate requirements. McKay Consulting prepared the planning application, construction documents and provided construction staking.

Particular attention was to existing utilities that needed to be relocated around the new  building.   The property was part of a larger commercial district that had several utilities crossing it.  Special coordination was required with ODOT because site improvements needed  to match in with the planned road improvements.
